Huge problem for me as I need it for my own Business, my Company & livelihood depended on that drive working.
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-AR51E, 15 months old, very reliable - great machine - until this. Matshita-DVD-RAM-UJ-850S was not properly recognised, would not eject (had to do it manually via the hole with a paper clip, as the software eject routine was failing), DVD or CD would spin a couple of times and then die, and windows reported error 19, incomplete registry information.
