I would imagine as long as your connection is cappable of 150Kbp/s (1.5Meg connection) you would be fine. Wireless? Make sure you have a strong signal and you are not picking up cross talk from a local Microwave, Non-IR remotes or Fans. It may also be a matter of your physical connection, Wired? Nic Card maybe acting up. The best part is that its a portable application of a very small size. It doesn't matter if you are using them or not. Do you have Steam running? a browser open with more then one window? do you have some bittorrent running? is anything downloading like windows updates? Also check if anyone else is using your network file sharing, downloading and streaming will all impact your internet performance and when online gamming you should limit all things so the game can have full access to the resource. If its Lag I would recommend checking what you have running on your machine see what else is making out going connections.
